What changes has Email on Acid made in response to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European Union (EU) law that governs the privacy and security of personal data. The regulation gives users more control over how their data is used and imposes heavy fines for companies who fail to comply or suffer data breaches. The new regulations take effect May 25, 2018.
In response to GDPR, Email on Acid has updated how data is processed and stored on our platform. We are taking every step necessary to keep users’ data safe and ensuring our third-party partners are GDPR compliant.
Email on Acid has also made sure that we are collecting, tracking and managing users’ consent in compliance with GDPR. We require explicit consent on all forms where we collect personal information; users will see consent checkboxes with details on how we plan to process and use your personal information.
